We moved our breeding stock from Normandie to the hyde, and for the first year bred our Stallions here.
We work with the Meadows Stud, Gloucestershire. Gun Chic Nic and Jac Barbee Dream take the short journey to the stud to be collected for fresh and chilled semen, if you are looking to breed your Quarter Horse or Paint mares to our Stallions, go to our BREEDING page or call Alison, she will be happy to help you.

Cattle days at the Hyde
In July 2020 we instructed Gloucester Cattle, many rides visited us that summer to track and cut cows, some horses and riders started the day nervous of cattle, but very soon Bob Reader had the horses “hooked” to the cows.
If you are interested in a Cow day, here are a few details:
The day is tailored to the horse and riders needs and experience. We only have 2 riders each day and you have a lesson in the morning and the afternoon. You will work on the flag and with the cows.
The hyde has on site accommodation and stabling as well as electric hook up, so you are welcome to stay over. For full details see our BOOKINGS & EVENT page.
